Apples for Dogs

The apples on our old heritage tree ripen every year in the beginning of September. The geese and chickens eat all the apples that fall off the tree, and I pull a few apples off for them every day as well. Today I picked a half dozen smaller ripe apples and gave them to the dogs in the dog yard. Bridget the Rottie and four of the five Vallhunds had a blast, chewing and chasing their tart toys. Afterwards, Andy and I went for a walk in the prairie with Celine, Prins, Dove, and Skadi. We finished the outing with a walk around the pond.
