Last Dog Show Day of 2021

This is what Celine thought about Dove placing above her! Mrs. Leah R. James was Sunday's judge in Amana, Iowa that gave Dove Best of Breed and Celine Select Bitch. Tava and I had fun, talked to a lot of people, posed for a few, then shot the breeze about dogs for about an hour after we got the girls settled back in their crates. Little Red is full of opinions and always finding new ways to express them! Mrs. James was another fantastic judge and complimented both girls multiple times. Mrs. James told Tava that both girls were very nice. When I put Dove on the table to be examined, Mrs. James took Dove's head in both her hands and said, "Oh baby dog!" Dove wagged her knackwurst tail in agreement. I melted along with Mrs. James. Dove is a very sweet girl and always gives 110% effort to any task I ask of her. As she examined Dove, Mrs. James said, "Two very nice bitches!" She had Tava and I go around multiple times in different directions, and walked past each stacked girl a few times, before she called Dove for breed and Celine select. She told Tava that it was a very hard decision for her to make. I wish I had time to talk to Mrs. James more, as she seemed to be another judge willing to talk about how she arrived at her decision, but the schedule was already running behind and there were 42 Shetland Sheepdogs lined up to start the next breed!
