New Additions to Lycklig Farm

No, we don't have any new dogs or parrots! Our flock of geese grew from four to thirteen when I made the mistake of browsing the Craigslist Farm & Garden ads. I was worried that four geese would not be able to fend off a larger predator like a coyote, and the thought of adding just two more geese grew when other hobby farmers offered me great "package" deals.

Andy and I went to Kellor & Kellor Landscaping in Muscatine, Iowa last week to pick out a tree to plant to memorialize his Grandpa Hosmanek. We found a beautiful Heritage Oak. We also found two Robinson Crabapple trees, a Northern Pin Oak, and a Sweet Gum. Yesterday, two nice young landscapers from Kellor & Kellor delivered and planted the five trees. This was the first time in my life that I have purchased trees and had them planted. The process was so easy and the two landscapers did a fantastic job. The guarantee on the trees is also extended from one year to two years. I don't think I will ever plant my own trees again!
